James Johnson

James Westcomb Johnson, Jr., 93, of Cadiz, Ohio, formerly of Warren and Cleveland, Ohio, died Saturday, March 9, 2002 at his home. He was born October 6, 1908 in Cadiz, Ohio, a son of the late James Westcomb Addora Stewart Johnson. He was a member of St. James A.M.E. Church in Cadiz and the Sathya Sai Baba Centre in Cleveland. He was also a member of the Cadiz American Legion, Boy Scouts of America, Prince Hall Masonic Lodge and Literary and Metaphysical Groups throughout the USA. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother,r. Edward T. Johnson and a sister, Katherine Newsome. Surviving are 2 nephews, Edward T. Johnson, II, of Boston, MA and James R. Johnson of Petaluma, CA; and a niece, Judith Elder Cothran of Sherman Oaks, CA.; several great nieces and great nephews and cousins. Friends may call Monday, March 11, 2002 from 7-9 p.m. at Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home, Cadiz, Ohio. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, March 12, 2002 at 1:00 p.m. at St. James A.M.E. Church, 300 East Market St., Cadiz, Ohio with Rev. D'Wain O. Wales officiting. Burial will follow at Cadiz Union Cemetery. The Cadiz American Legion will conduct Military Honors.
