James R. Cunningham, Sr., 75, Adena, died Wednesday, September 14, 2005 at his home. He was born April 11, 1930 in Kenwood, Ohio a son of the late Ernest and Viola Nichols Cunningham. He was a member of the First Church of God in Cadiz; a retired employee of Y&O Coal Company and then worked at Rocky Valley Farms for 22 years; a member of the Adena Sportsman Club and the Hopedale VFW; and a U.S. Marine Veteran having served during the Korean Conflict from 1951-1953. He was preceded in death in addition to his parents, by 2 brothers: John and Walter Cunningham. He is survived by his wife, Regina Yeater Cunningham; a son James R. Cunningham, Jr. and his wife Robin of Kenwood; 3 daughters: Jackie Roth and her husband Denny of Unionvale, Toni Lynn Ray and husband Kenny of Hundred, W. Va., and Margie Kenny and husband Tim of Cadiz; 11 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; 1 brother, Orville Cunningham and his wife Jenny of Hopedale; and 2 sisters: Thelma Harris of Dillonvale and Linda Sowers and her husband Charles of Kenwood, Ohio. Calling hours are Friday, September 16, 11-1 and 7-9 at Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home, Cadiz where funeral service will be held Saturday at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Craig Haney officiating.
