Jackie Bailie, 74, Cadiz, died Monday at Harrison Community Hospital, Cadiz. She was born October 1, 1928 in Steubenville, Ohio a daughter of the late W.R. ''Bill'' Bothe and Isabel Bray Bothe. Jackie was a member of Scott United Methodist Church in Cadiz; former member Distaff; former PR director of Harrison Community Hospital; former circulation manager Freeport Press and Harrison News Herald; former director of the Queens Pagent for the former International Mining and Manufacturing Festival in Cadiz; graduate of Steubenville Big Red High School; she was a well known community activist and was the recipient of the Volunteer of the Year Award by the Harrison Regional Chamber of Commerce. She owned and operated a dog and cat kennel in her home. Jackie was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Robert M. Bailie in 2002. Surviving are 3 daughters: Brooke Bovenizer and husband Craig of Cadiz, Shawn Kovacik and husband Paul of Olathe, Kansas, and Drue Barezinsky and husband Greg of Worthington; 5 grandchildren: Luke, Brittany, and Shelby Bovenizer, and Joseph and Bailie Forte; 5 stepgrandchildren: Rachel and Krista Barezinsky, Tisa Cerminara, and Kalyn and Joseph Kovacik; a brother, W.R. ''Bill'' Bothe of Upper St. Clair, Pennsylvania; Dee Ruckman and Kathie Jo Ossman of Cadiz and Danny Willoughby of Weirton. Calling hours are Saturday, January 25, 2-6 at Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home, Cadiz, with Rev. Robert Hooker. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family.
