Jack Moore

Jack E. Moore, 79 of Cadiz died Wednesday, September 4, 2013 at Lifeline Hospital in Wintersville, Ohio. He was born July 22, 1934 in Belmont, Ohio a son of the late Willard and Bessie Newhart Moore. He retired after working several years at Luther's Builders Supply in Cadiz and several other places doing all types of construction work. He was a member of the First Church of Christ in Cadiz where he served as a trustee. He was a lover of music, both writing and playing. He was preceded in death in addition to his parents; by his first wife, Janet VanFossen Moore; his second wife, Marianne Garrett Moore; a sister, Gladys Fogle and a great grandson, Ross Ian Mackie. He is survived by seven children: Brent of St. Clairsville; Twyla Krause of Piedmont, SC; Bryan of Kingston, PA; Tyria Moore and Joyce Karchner of Beach Haven, PA; Mike and his wife Marci of Dacula, GA; Tracey and her husband Bryan Downs of Ellwood City, PA; and Regan Moore of Strasburg, OH; six grandchildren: Darath Mackie, Tyler Krause, Erika Roberts, Alexander and Hunter Downs, and Austin Moore; two great grandchildren: Raigan Loudermilk and Brent Mackie, Jr.; and nine siblings: Edith Taylor, Sarah Harbin, Helen Schmelzenbach, Connie Enzweiler, James Moore, Maxine Segarra, Eileen Friede, Suzie Monoksy and Gloria Simpson; several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be Saturday, September 7 from 2-4 and 6-8 at Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home, Cadiz. Funeral service will be held Sunday at 3:00 p.m. at the First Church of Christ on North Main Street in Cadiz with Paul Giffin officiating. Burial will follow at Cadiz Union Cemetery.
