J.R. Arnold, 54, of Cadiz, died Saturday, May 7, 2011 at Harrison Community Hospital, Cadiz. He was born January 15, 1957 in Canton, OH, a son of J.B. and Norma Arnold of Hopedale. He was preceded in death by an infant sister, Barbara Jean. Surviving, in addition to his parents, are his wife and life partner of twenty six years, Lisa Chini Arnold; aunts and uncles, Paul Richard and Wanda Arnold of Canton and Jerry and Vivian Arnold of Martins Ferry; several cousins; parents-in-law, Rudy and Alberta Chini; brothers-in-law, Kris and Danielle Chini and Mark Chini; and two nephews, Logan and Isaac, all of Flushing. J.R. graduated from Cadiz High School in 1975 and spent thirty six years in trucking as the owner and operator of J.R. Arnold Trucking. He was a broker through J.R. Brown Trucking and Oxford Mining. He was an avid motorcyclist and a former member of A.B.A.T.E. of Ohio. He loved his animals and life in general, and he never met a stranger. He was baptized at the Hopedale Church of Christ. Friends may call Tuesday, 3-9 p.m. at Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home, Cadiz, where services will be held Wednesday, May 11, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. with Dean Blythe officiating.
