Iris R. Conrad, 87, Cadiz, died Wednesday, October 24, 2007 at his home. He was born September 15, 1920 in Pleasant City, Ohio a son of the late Ray H. And Maude McCoy Conrad. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Cadiz, the Cadiz American Legion Post #34, Cadiz Country Club and was a retired cable splicer from GTE, Cadiz. He served in the Signal Corps of the Army during World War II. He was preceded in death in addition to his parents; by his wife, Susis J. Findling Conrad in 2002; 2 brothers: Raymond and Frank Conrad; and 4 sisters: Mary Price, Ruby Baker, Doretta Pope, and Mildred Stotler. He is survived by 2 sons: James Rocchi of Naples, Florida and Terry Conrad and his wife Robin of Leland, North Carolina; 3 daughters: Karen Poillucci and husband Ray of Cadiz, Amy Levine of Westerville, and Lori Labuhn and husband Kevin of Plain City, Ohio; 6 grandchildren: John (Dayna) Rocchi, Jim (Anisa) Rocchi, Ben (Randi) Conrad, Lukas Labuhn, Sarah Labuhn, and Thomas Levine; 3 great grandchildren: Caitlyn Rocchi, Giovanni Rocchi, and Taya Rocchi. A special thanks to his caregivers: Karen Holloway, Maggie Virtue, Dee Heavilin, and Jodi Carter. Calling hours are Friday, October 26, 2-4 and 7-9 at Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home, Cadiz, where funeral service will be held Saturday at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Dr. David Rice officiating. Burial will follow at Cadiz Union Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Valley Hospice, 380 Summitt Avenue, Steubenville, Ohio 43952.
