Helen Maleyrick

Helen Sarah Maleyrick, 92, of Cadiz, died Wednesday, August 17, 2011 at Gables Care Center in Hopedale. She was born October 15, 1918 in Cambridge, OH, a daughter of the late George and Mary (Reichwalder) Staso. She was a resident of Cadiz since 1951 and a member of St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church in Cadiz. She enjoyed cooking, baking, crocheting and quilting items for her family. Helen married the late Joseph L. Maleyrick on November 9, 1935 and were married for fifty eight years until his death on April 11, 1993. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by six brothers, George, John, Joseph, Andrew, Mike and Emro Staso. Surviving are three children, Mary Ann (Donald) Kelley of Strasburg, Christina Tallman of Columbus and Frank (Sharon) Maleyrick of Cadiz; seven grandchildren: Joe (Lori) Kelley, Donna (friend, Greg Jogerst) Ross, Michelle (Jeff) Rapoza, Jeff (Vera) Tallman, Jason (Missie) Tallman, Tim Maleyrick and Jessica (Darryl) Ray; eleven great grandchildren: Donovan, Alex, Gage, Jimmy, Darryl, Elizabeth, Mariah, Miranda, Phil, Katie and Tiffany; four great great grandchildren: Payton, Brenna, Jayson and Eliah; two sisters, Marge Dickerson of Cadiz and Elizabeth Prevot of Weirton; a sister-in-law, Blanche (Robert) Cesare of Norwalk; and many nieces and nephews. Friends may call Friday, 4-8 p.m. at Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home, Cadiz. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, August 20, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Teresa's Catholic Church in Cadiz by Rev. Fr. Timothy McGuire. Burial will follow at Cadiz Union Cemetery.
