Harold W. "Bill" Thompson, 82, of Holloway, died Tuesday at Wheeling Hospital. He was born August 7, 1927 in Cambridge, Ohio, a son of the late Abe and LouElla Slasor Thompson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife Helen Marie Snyder Thompson in 1991 after 44 years of marriage. Surviving are his wife of eighteen years, Dolores "Dee" Graham Peterson Thompson; five children, Harold (Bill) Thompson, Jr. (Carma) of Morristown, Sherry Kincaid (Bob) of Racine, OH, Randy Thompson (Cheryl) of Flushing, Pete Thompson (Karin) St. Clairsville and Lisa Gray Thompson of St. Clairsville; step-daughter, Gloria Williams, and step-son, James Peterson, both of Johnstown, OH; ten grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; six step-grandchildren and ten step great grandchildren. Three brothers and ten sisters complete the family. Bill was employed by Cravat Coal Co. as a dragline operator. He retired in 1990. He was an Army Veteran of WW II and a member of the Flushing American Legion, Post 366 Friends may call Thursday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home, Cadiz, where funeral services will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Loran Dace officiating. Burial will follow at Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove. Military honors will be performed by the Flushing American Legion.
