Harold Mclaughlin

Harold W. McLaughlin, D.D.S., 89, of Columbus, Ohio, formerly of Freeport, Ohio died Monday, July 4, 2011 at The Sanctuary in Dublin, Ohio. He was born June 29, 1922 in Freeport, a son of the late Harold and Evelyn Fulton McLaughlin. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia McCoy McLaughlin and a brother, James Norman McLaughlin. Surviving are a daughter, Jean Ann Butler; three sons, David (Lynn) McLaughlin, Eric McLaughlin and Kevin (Kim) McLaughlin; seven grandchildren: Andrew Butler, Molly Butler, and Daniel Butler, Bradford McLaughlin, Nancy(Wayne) Bell, Kate McLaughlin, and Jack McLaughlin; a great grandson, Cameron Butler; and friend, Patricia Hurd. A veteran of the U.S. Navy, he graduated The Ohio State University, College of Dentistry in 1952. Friends may call Thursday, 4-7 p.m. at Schoedinger Funeral Home, Northwest Chapel, 1740 Zollinger Rd., Upper Arlington, Ohio. Further visitation will be held Friday, 6-8 p.m. at Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home, 172 S. Main St., Cadiz, Ohio, where services will be held Saturday at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Robert Hooker officiating. Burial will follow at Greenmont Union Cemetery, Freeport, Ohio. A luncheon will follow at the Freeport Fire House for friends and family.
