Grace Higgins

Grace B. Higgins, 82, Navarre, Ohio, formerly of St. Clairsville and Cadiz, Ohio, died Monday, January 13, at Country Lawn Nursing Home, Navarre, Ohio. Grace was born August 19, 1920 in Jefferson County, Ohio a daughter of the late Charles F. and Mellisa Ann Polen Busby. Grace was a retired employee of Columbia Gas having worked in Cadiz and St. Clairsville, and was a member of Scott United Methodist Church, Cadiz. She was predeced on death in addition to her parents by her husband Everett E. Higgins on January 21, 1995; a stepson, Richard Higgins; a granddaughter, Nicole Colteryahn; and a brother, Charles Busby. She is survived by 2 stepdaughters: Mrs. Fred (Juanita) Fenske of Richmond, Ohio and Mrs. Charles (Shirley) Colteryahn of Tampa, Florida; 10 step grandchildren; 18 stepgrandchildren; a sister in law, Florence Busby of Cadiz; and 2 nephews: Gary Busby of Massillon and Curtis Busby of Montrose, Colorado. Calling hours are Thursday, January 16, 6-8, at Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home, Cadiz, where services will be held Friday, January 17, at 11:00 a.m., with Rev. Dirk Elliott officiating. Burial follows at Greenwood Cemetery, Hopedale, Ohio. Memorial Contributions may be made to Cadiz Rotary Scholarship Alumni Fund, c/o Dr. Gary Pearch, 131 East Market Street, Cadiz, Ohio 43907.
