Gordon Hyust

Gordon "Gordy" Joseph Hyust, 71, formerly of Flushing Ohio, died after a short illness on Saturday March 20th, 2010. Born on 9-13-38, Gordy was raised in Flushing Ohio where he began his lifelong love of baseball. He was a working Man, a member the Glass, Molders, Pottery, Plastics & Allied Workers International Union who was passionate about jokes and politics. Most importantly, he was a family man who's ability to find the laughter in life will truly be missed. Gordy is preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Gertrude Hyust, Wife, Charlotte Saffell McConnell Hyust, and Son Randy McConnell. He is survived by his Children; Ray McConnell of Mount Morris PA, Karen McConnell of Norwalk Ohio, Robert McConnell of Avon Lake Ohio, Rhonda and Mike Kuttie of New Athens Ohio, Joseph Hyust (Zoe Arnold) of New Athens Ohio. Brother; Rod Hyust (Linda) of Florida, 13 Grandchildren, and eight Great-Grandchildren with one on the way. A memorial service will be held Saturday March 27, 2010, at 2:00 p.m. at The House of the Shepherd, New Athens Ohio, Rev. Pete Tuchek officiating.
