Goldie Barrett

Goldie M. Barrett, 84, of Cadiz, died Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at Harrison Community Hospital, Cadiz. She was born April 1, 1929 in New Straitsville, OH, a daughter of the late Morris Benjamin and Goldie Farms Dishon. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Morris William Dishong; two sisters, Betty Hopkins and Norma Raynard; an infant sister; a granddaughter, Ranae; and infant twin grandsons: Caden and Julian. Surviving are her daughter, Penny (Gene) Banks of Cadiz; son, Daniel (Linda) Barrett of Canton; eight grandchildren: Anthony, Jason, Tiffany, Aric, Julie, Valerie, Kimberly and Brian; fourteen great grandchildren: Addyson, Riley, Cooper, Ryan, Noah, Parker, Giavonni, (coming soon, Lyric), Priscilla, Mary, Rachel, Matthew and Claire; and two sisters, Gloria (Howard) Horton and Dorothy Henthorn, all of Cadiz. A memorial service will be held Monday, December 23 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Church of Christ, 139 North Main St., Cadiz, OH with Paul Giffin officiating.
