Gladys Sproul

Gladys Marie Sproul, 86, Cadiz, died Thursday, October 10, at Trinity Medical Center West, Steubenville, Ohio. Marie was born August 13, 1915 in Flushing, Ohio a daughter of the late Charles and Fedelia Wagner Cordner. She was a housewife and attended the Christian Church. She was preceded in death in addition to her parents, by her husband John Sproul, Sr.; a son, John, Jr.; 2 brothers: Clyde and Harry Cordner; and a sister Betty Fulton. She is survived by a son William of Cadiz; 2 grandsons: John Edward Sproul and his wife Judy of Cadiz and Dennis Lee Sproul of Columbus; a granddauther,Mrs. Richard (Beth) Ralston of New Philadelphia; 4 great grandchildren; 4 Sisters: Wilma Cummingham of Freeport, Maxine Nucci of Flushing, Wanda Thompson of Cadiz, and Shirley Martin of Florida. Calling hours will be Friday from 6-9 at Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home, Cadiz where services will be held on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Paul Hamilton officiating. Burial follows at Cadiz Union Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, Box 74, Cadiz, Ohio 43907.
