Gladys Reppart

Gladys Mattern Reppart, 91, of Cadiz, died Friday, August 13, 2010 at Harrison Community Hospital, Cadiz. She was born August 23, 1918 in Fernwood, Ohio, a daughter of the late David and Nellie Carpenter Dickey. Gladys owned and operated Mattern's Restaurant and the Woolhouse Furniture Store in Cadiz for many years. She was an active member of the Presbyterian Church of Cadiz, and was a volunteer at Harrison Community Hospital and the Clark Gable Foundation. She was a member of the Cadiz Lions Club Auxiliary and the Cadiz Business Women's Club. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband Wilmer (Nemo) Mattern in 1974 and her second husband, Thomas Alfred Reppart in 1998 and two daughters, Jacqueline Risdon and Lynne Mitchell. Surviving are a daughter, Patricia Rice of Cadiz; a step-daughter, Susan (husband, Larry) Timmons of Ashland, OH; four grandchildren: Robin Willis, Jeffrey Jones, and Kyle and Todd Mitchell; three step-grandchildren; five great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; two sisters, Ruth (husband, Paul) Blackburn of Cadiz and Eileen Vorhees of Hopedale; a brother Eugene (wife, Janice) Dickey of Summerville, SC. Friends may call Monday August 16, 2010 from 11:00 a.m. until time of memorial service at 1:00 p.m. at the Presbyterian Church of Cadiz, 154 West Market St., Cadiz, Ohio. Rev. R.J. Leek will officiate. Private interment will be in Cadiz Union Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the National MS Society, P.O.
