Georgia Lamb

Mrs. Georgia Lamb died on 2 January 2012 at Life Line Hospital, Wintersville, Ohio. Mrs. Lamb celebrated her 100th birthday on December 30th. She was born at Sandsiding, West Virginia, a small coal mining community. Mrs. Lamb is the daughter of R.L. StClair and Lydia Bevins Ward StClair. She was one of five children. She had three half sisters and a half brother who are deceased. Mrs. Lamb was married to Henry Daniels, Sr. until his death in 1945. They had two sons, Henry Daniels, Jr. who is deceased and Edward Daniels of Cadiz, Ohio. The family lived on a small farm near Pikeville, Kentucky until Henry Sr.'s death. After Henry Sr. died, she moved to Williamson, West Virginia where she raised Edward. Until her marriage to Mr. Lamb, she was a hotel manager at the Music Hotel in Williamson. She married Vaxter E. "Jack" Lamb in 1963. Mr. Lamb was a coal miner at Y&O Coal Company in Unionvale, Ohio. She moved to Cadiz after the marriage where she resided since 1963. Mr. Lamb died in 1990. Mrs. Lamb enjoyed cooking and being a homemaker. She is a member of the First Church of Christ in Cadiz, Ohio. Funeral service will be held at the chapel at Holly Memorial Gardens in Pleasant Grove, Ohio Friday, January 6, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. with Paul Giffin officiating.
