George ''Doc'' Arlie Minks, 81, Cadiz, died Sunday, January 19, at the Harrison County Home. Doc was born November 1, 1921 in Byumville, Missouri a son of the late John Preston Minks and Matilda Henrietta Harmon Minks. Doc was protestant by faith and a member of the VFW and American Legion. He was a veteran of the Airforce having served during World War II; and was a radioman in the first group of bombers to fly 75 missions over Nazi Germany; earned the Silver Star; and the Bronze Star with 5 Oak Leaf Clusters. He was prededed in death by a son Donald Ray Minks, and seven brothers. Surviving are two sons: Ronald Dean Minks of Channelview, Texas and Glen Avery Minks of Georgetown, Kentucky; a daughter, Becky Sue Rollaf, Wasuau, Wisconsin; and 4 grandchildren. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family with burial at the County Home Cemetery, Cadiz.
