Fremo Ross, 80, Cadiz, died Sunday, January 16, 2006 at the Carriage Inn of Cadiz. He was born January 28, 1925 in Piney Fork, Ohio a son of the late Michael and Laura Ross. He was a member of the Scott United Methodist Church in Cadiz; a retired coach and school teacher having taught in Lafferty for two years, Mt. Pleasant for three years, Cadiz for six years and Wintersville for nine years before retiring in 1982. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served during World War II, a member of the Cadiz American Legion for 52 years, the Cadiz Country Club, and the Husky Sideliners. He is survived by his wife Velma Yansens Ross; a daughter Kimberly Davia and her husband Randy of Cadiz; a son, Michael Ross of Cadiz; 2 grandchildren: Jessica and Robbie Davia; and a sister Cesira Krawczyk of Cleveland, Ohio. Calling hours are Tuesday, January 17, 2-4 and 7-9 at Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home, Cadiz, where funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Richard Hasley officiating. Burial will follow at Union Cemetery, St. Clairsville, Ohio. Military graveside honors will be conducted by the Cadiz American Legion.
