Francis Chaney

Francis "Wayne" Chaney, 82 of Hopedale, died Sunday, January 22, 2012 at Trinity West Hospital, Steubenville, Ohio. He was born December 2, 1929 in Cadiz, Ohio a son of the late James P. and Anna Lucille Parrish Chaney. He served in the U.S. Army as a military policeman for 2 years. He was a retired steel inspector from Weirton Steel Corporation where he worked for 44 years. He was a member of the Hopedale Presbyterian Church. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, James L. Chaney and an infant sister. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Mary Lou Elliott Chaney; two children: Mike Chaney (Ellie Rose) and Lou Ann Dowdle (Jim Dowdle); two grandchildren: Lindsay and Abby Dowdle, all of Cadiz. Calling hours will be held Tuesday, January 24 from 2-4 and 7-9 at Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home, Cadiz where funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. with Evang. Robert Main officiating.
