Florence Smalley

Florence Smalley, 94, of Cadiz, died Wednesday, April 7, 2010 at Harrison Community Hospital, Cadiz. She was born August 3, 1915 in Jewett, Ohio, a daughter of the late William and Estella Gutherie Slentz. Mrs. Smalley was a member of the First Church of God in Cadiz. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Smalley; a son Larry; a daughter-in-law, Kay; two brothers, Charles and Frank and two sisters, Ethel Stull and Esther Benson. Surviving are five sons, Charles (Jane) of Toledo, John "Kenny" (Susan) of Sherrodsville, Donald (Jerri) of St. Clairsville, Roger of Cadiz and Tom of Midvale; three daughters, Leota (Henry) Baker of Ft. Myers, FL, Shirley Collier of Cadiz and Susan Sulek of Shadyside; 18 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren; a brother, Jesse (Lucille) Slentz of Carrollton and two sisters, Ruth Wakefield of Oceanside, CA and Doris Eisenhut of Canton. Friends may call Sunday from 2-8 p.m. at Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home, Cadiz, where funeral services will be held Monday at 11:00 a.m. with Paul Giffin officiating.
