Ethel Martin

Ethel G. Martin, 74, Hopedale, formerly of Cadiz, died Thursday, June 14, 2012 at Gables Care Center in Hopedale, Ohio. She was born July 18, 1937 in Duncanwood, Ohio a daughter of the late Vernon and Stella Baker Davis. She was a member of the First Church of Christ in Cadiz, Gables Garden Club, avid Steeler Fan, and a former member of the Cadiz Eagles and Cadiz American Legion Auxiliaries. She was preceded in death in addition to her parents, by her husband Jack Martin in 2010; a grandson, Luke Clark Mallernee; and 2 sisters: Belva and Loretta Davis. She is survived by her daughter, Nancy (Edgar) Cunningham of Cadiz; granddaughter, Angie (Joe) Thomas of Hopedale; 3 great grandchildren: Lucas, Landen and Lillian Thomas; 2 brothers: Carl (Teresa) Davis of Colonial Beach, Virginia and Bruce (Belle) Davis of Dawson Springs, Kentucky; sisters-in-law: Virginia Thompson of Arkansas and Katherine (Raymond) Mitchell of Florida; and many nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held Sunday, June 17 from 2-5 at Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home, Cadiz where funeral service will be held Monday at 11:00 a.m. with Paul Giffin and Richard Hasley officiating. Burial will follow at Cadiz Union Cemtery. Memorial contributions may be made to the ASPCA. The memorial guestbook may be signed at www.clark-kirkland.com.
