Esther Love

Esther G. Love, 87, of New Athens, died Wednesday, June 29, 2011 at Liza's Place in Wheeling. She was born October 11, 1923 in Cadiz, Ohio, a daughter of the late William and Nellie Heavilin Given. Esther was a graduate of Cadiz High School and a member of the New Athens Presbyterian Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Robert M. Love, whom she married October 30, 1943; and by an infant sister Adah Jane, her older brother Frank Given and her younger brother William D. Given. Surviving are a daughter, Linda Love of New Athens; a son, Robert Michael (Pam) Love of Hartville, OH; two grandsons: R. Michael (Jordan) Love of DuBois, PA and Joshua (Lisa) Love of Warren, OH; and two great granddaughters: Addison and Avery Love of DuBois, PA. Friends may call Saturday, July 2, from 12:30 p.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m. at the New Athens Presbyterian Church. Rev. Jack Visser will officiate. Burial will follow at Longview Cemetery, New Athens. Thank you to all the staff at Liza's Place for the warm hearted and tender loving care she received.
