Emma Abel

Emma Grace Abel, 87, Cadiz, died Sunday, January 8, 2012 at Gable Care Center, Hopedale, Ohio. She was born December 9, 1924 in Canton, Ohio a daughter of the late Holly Emanuel and Martha Elby Dellinger. She was a member of the First Church of Christ in Cadiz, a former member of the Cadiz V.F.D. Auxiliary, a former dishwasher for the Phoenix, Gabletown, and Home Restaurants in Cadiz. She was preceded in death in addition to her parents, by her husband Harry Wayne Abel in 1966; her companion, John Henry Milliken; a son Robert Lee Abel; a daughter and son-in-law Yvonne and LeRoy Anno; infant daughter Elizabeth; and 2 sisters: Agnes Hendersock and Beatrice Kruger. She is survived by 2 sons: George and Mike Abel both of Cadiz; 2 daughters: Viola (Ralph) Kieffer of Sherrodsville and Penny (Allen) Fluharty of Cadiz; 18 grandchildren; 52 great grandchildren; in-laws: Mary Jane Abel, Tiny Dayton, and Ernie Mansfield all of Cadiz; and a sister: Beulah Cook of Canton, Ohio. Calling hours will be held Tuesday, January 10, from 2-4 and 6-8 at Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home, Cadiz where funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. with Paul Giffin officiating.
