Emil Claring

Emil M. ''Marty'' Claring, 52, Cadiz, died Thursday, May 9, at East Ohio Regional Hospital, Martins Ferry, Ohio. He was born October 17, 1949 in Iowa City, Iowa, a son of the late Virgil and Betty Scott Claring. He was a disabled truck driver for Dean Foods and a Marines Corp veteran of the Viet Nam era. He is survived by 3 sons: Donnie Cortez, Honolulu, Hawaii; Patrick M. Claring and Mark Claring, both of Cadiz; a daughter, Lisa Claring, Cadiz; 4 grandchildren; 2 brothers: Richard of Salina, KS and Eric of Stewartsville, MO; a sister, Virginia McWaters, Salt Lake City, Utah; and his girlfriend of 4 years, Vicki Maxwell of Cadiz. Calling hours are Sunday, May 12, 2-4 and 7-9 at Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home, Cadiz where servives will be held on Monday at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Robert Hooker officiating. Burial follows at Cadiz Union Cemetery.
