Emery Devault

Emery Gene DeVault, 76, of Conover, North Carolina, formerly of Cadiz, Ohio, died Thursday, February 6, 2003 at Catawba Valley Medical Center, Conover, North Carolina. He was born February 7, 1926 in Bridgeport, Ohio, a son of the late Clyde F. and Nellie Oliver DeVault. He was a member of the East Warren Street Church of Christ in Cadiz, and was a retired Machinist for the former Hanna Coal Company in Cadiz (now Consol Energy) . He was Marine Corps Veteran of World War II. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Vic; and three sisters, Olive, Laura and Audrey. Surviving are his wife, Nellie Grace McKibben DeVault; a daughter, Patricia and her husband Mark Kidd of Conover, NC; two grandsons, Jonathan Kidd and Gregory Kidd; two great grandsons, Justin Kidd and Joshua Kidd; and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call Sunday from 7-9 p.m. at Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home, where Funeral Services will be held Monday, February 10, 2003 at 2:00 p.m., with Evangelist David Gladwell and Evangelist Brian Reardon officiating. Burial will follow at Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, Ohio.
