Elma Lacey Garvin Somerville of Cadiz, Ohio passed away on Monday, February 27 at Harrison Community Hospital at the age of 91. Lacey was born July 28, 1914 in Bloomingdale, Ohio to Wellington and Mary Hoobler Timmons. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Helen Ferguson; brothers, James and Samuel Timmons; son, George Douglas Somerville, Jr.; and husbands, William Garvin and George Douglas Somerville, Sr. She is survived by son, James Somerville of Columbus; brother, William Timmons; niece Carole Mariana; nephew, John Timmons, all of Cadiz; granddaughter, Amber Browne of Chevy Chase, MD; grandsons, Garth Somerville of Garnes, NC and Giles Somerville of Phoenix, AZ; and numerous great grandchildren; and grand nieces and grand nephews. Lacey was a member of Scott United Methodist Church and an employee of the Scio Pottery for 30 years. She was an avid golfer, bowler, seamstress, and bridge player. She was an active member of the Cadiz Senior Citizen Center and spent the last years of her life at Sunnyslope Nursing Home in Bowerston, Ohio. Friends may call Thursday, March 2, 2006 from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m. at Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home, Cadiz. Rev. Richard Hasley will officiate.
