Judge Edward Donald Mosser, 87, of Cadiz, died Sunday, January 28, 2007 at the Carriage Inn of Cadiz, Ohio. He was born April 17, 1919 in Newell, WV, a son of the late Newton and Florence Tice Mosser. He leaves his wife, Margaret Bird Mosser; a son, Geoffrey and his wife, Janice Mosser of Cadiz; two grandchildren, Shawn and her husband, Jim Henry and Gregory and his wife, Heather Mosser; two great grandchildren, Sarah and Brian; and two brothers, Thurman Mosser of Newell, WV and Richard Mosser of California. Judge Mosser graduated from Wells High School in Newell, Mount Union College in Alliance and Duke University Law School, Durham, NC. He has practiced law in Cadiz since 1949, where he was the Harrison County Prosecuting Attorney for many years before becoming the Judge of the Common Pleas, Juvenile and Probate Courts. He retired in 1985. He was a four year Army Veteran of WW II and a Legionnaire. There will be no visitation. Graveside interment will be held at the Alliance, Ohio City Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Memorial Services will be held Saturday, February 3, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, 284 Lovers Lane, Steubenville, Ohio.
