Edward H. Fisher, 89, of Cadiz, died Sunday, July 29, 2012 at his home. He was born February 1, 1923 in Wheeling, WV, a son of the late John Joseph and Glenna May Fisher. Ed was a retired employee of Consolidation Coal Company and a member of the First Church of Christ in Cadiz. He was an Army Veteran of WW II, having served in the D-Day Invasion and was a former member of the Cadiz American Legion. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis Jean Fisher in 2001; a son, Michael Fisher and a sister, Patricia Louise Hayes. Surviving are three sons, John (Joan) Fisher, Mark (Pam) Fisher and Matthew (Rhonda) Fisher, all of Cadiz; seven grandchildren, Christine (Chad) Wissinger and their children, Collin and Conner; Melissa (Rob) Steadman and their child, Delaney; Amy (Jacob) Sedgmer; Adam Fisher; Renee Fisher; Amy Nicole Fisher and Luke Fisher and a brother, Robert Lee Fisher of Salem, OH. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family at Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home, Cadiz. Rev. Ashley Barker Steele will officiate. Burial will be in Cadiz Union Cemetery.
