Dwight C. Floyd, 79, Moorefield, Ohio died Tuesday, August 16, 2005 at his home. He was born February 3, 1926 in Noble County, Ohio a son of the late L.D. and Merle Davis Floyd. He was a former member of the Nottingham Presbyterian Church; a retired employee of the State Department of Transportation; a past member of the Cadiz Country Club; and a veteran of the U.S. Navy having served during World War II. He is survived by his wife Louise Moore Floyd whom he married in 1945; 2 daughters: Sharon Floyd Moore and husband Mike of Freeport and Nancy Floyd Phillips and her husband Jim of Bradenton, Florida; grandchildren: Amy Carman (Ted), Michael Schwager (Bethany), Beth Denton (Matt), Erin Birney, and James Michael Moore; great grandchildren: Lauren and Lisa Schwager, Chase, Meighhan, and Breana Norris, and Alexander Denton. Graveside service will be held Thursday, August 18, at 1:00 p.m at Moorefield Cemetery with Rev. James Spain officiating. Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home, Cadiz in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donors choice. The memorial guestbook may be signed at www.clark-kirkland.com
