Dorothy A. Sinfield, 88, of Jewett, died Thursday, May 1, 2003 at her home. She was born October 1, 1914 in Jefferson County, Ohio, a daughter of the late George and Margaret Hilder Strohmeyer. She was a member of the First Apostolic Church in Cadiz, where she was involved with the Ladies Auxiliary. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Thomas Sinfield in 1983 and by 2 brothers, Lewis and Edward Strohmeyer. Surviving are a daughter, Helen and her husband, Rev. Ray Ellenbaugh, with whom she resided; 2 sisters, Viola Lee of New Rumley and Phyllis Dunfee of Dover; 5 brothers, Ernest Strohmeyer of Farmington, New Mexico, Floyd Strohmeyer of Scio, Kenneth Strohmeyer of Chicago, Daniel Strohmeyer of Pocono Mts., Pennsylvania, and Benjamin Strohmeyer of Carrollton; and many nieces and nephews. Friends may call Friday, May 2, 2003 from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 12:00 noon at the First Apostolic Church, 158 North Ohio St., Cadiz, Ohio 43907. Rev. J. Hugh Rose will officiate.
