Dorothy M. Blake Norris, 81, of Cadiz died Friday, February 3, 2012 at Prebyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She was born May 26, 1930 in Harrison County a daughter of the late Monroe and Mildred Adams Blake. She and her husband operated Don's Gulf in Cadiz for 28 years where she was the book keeper. She was a member of the First Church of Christ in Cadiz. She was an outgoing person that loved to work in flowers, going shopping and out to eat. She was an avid Nascar fan, loved doing puzzle books, but most of all that piece of Coconut Cream Pie. She was preceded in death in addition to her parents, by her husband Donald L. Norris in 2002; 2 daughters: Linda Baker and an infant Diane; and 2 brothers: Francis and Robert Blake. She is survived by a daughter, Donna (Ralph) Crothers of St. Clairsville; 2 sisters: Martha (the late Dominic) Ferri of Georgetown and Betty (Albert) Mattern of Cadiz; 2 brothers: Richard Blake of Cadiz and Emerson Blake of Alexandria, VA; 5 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held Monday, February 6, 2-4 and 7-9 at Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home, Cadiz where funeral service will be held Tuesday at 1:00p.m. with Paul Giffin officiating. Burial will follow at Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to First Church of Christ, 139 North Main Street, Cadiz, Ohio 43907.
