Dorothy Goggins

Dorothy Goggins, 89, of Columbus, Ohio, formerly of Cadiz, Ohio, died Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at The Woodlands of East Broad Street in Columbus. She was born August 15, 1926 in Cadiz, Ohio, a daughter of the late George U. and LaVerna Olmstead Miller. Mrs. Goggins was a member of Union Grove Baptist Church in Columbus, where she was a member of the Guiding Lights Club, the Adult Usher Board and the Missionary Society, and attended St. James A.M.E. Church in Cadiz when she was young. She was a retired employee of the Bureau of Motor Vehicles in Columbus. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Goggins; three brothers, Bill, Leo and Jim Miller and a sister, Laura Wheeler. Surviving are many nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews, cousins and a host of other family and friends. Friends may call Friday, 6-8 p.m. at Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home, Cadiz. Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 9 at 9:30 a.m. at St. James A.M.E. Church, 301 East Market St., Cadiz, Ohio. Rev. William Lewis will officiate.
