Doris J. McCann, 84, of Cadiz, died Wednesday, June 4, 2008 at the Carriage Inn of Cadiz. She was born January 24, 1924 in Cadiz, a daughter of the late Roy and Odessa Dickerson Thompson. She was an active member of Scott United Methodist Church, where she was involved in the Choir, the Women's Missionary Society and was a Sunday School Teacher. She was a former employee of the Scio Pottery Company and was a retired Clerk from the Harrison County License Bureau. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother Jake Thompson and two sisters Hilda Walker and Dorothy Liming. Surviving are her husband, Kenneth McCann; two sons, Richard (Patricia) McCann and David Roy (Judy) McCann, all of Cadiz; four grandchildren: Christopher, Jennifer, Lori and Ryan; five great grandchildren: Joey, Austin, Clayton, Nate and Wyatt; and a sister, Florence ''Bo'' Hayest of Cadiz. Friends may call Friday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home, Cadiz. Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 7, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at Scott United Methodist Church with Rev. Richard Hasley officiating. Burial will follow at Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove. Memorial contributions may be made to Scott United Methodist Church.
