Cynthia "Cindy" L. Snyder

Cynthia L. “Cindy” Snyder, 69, of Hopedale, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, June 24, 2024, at her home. She was born March 24, 1955, in Martins Ferry, Ohio, a daughter of the late Robert E. and Cathryn Wilden Liggett, Sr. 

Cindy worked as a merchandiser for American Greetings. She also was a housewife, taking care of her husband and children. She was a great baker; her family always enjoyed the goods she would make. She was also a member of the Harrison County Humane Society, she loved animals. Most of all, she enjoyed being a wife, mom, and grandma. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Robert E. Liggett, Jr., father-in-law, Robert Snyder, and brothers-in-law, Gerry Palmer and Jack Davia.

Surviving are her husband of 47 years, Michael Snyder; her children: Michol Snyder, Chad (Jen) Snyder, Miranda (William Brown) Snyder and Marisa (Matthew) Brenneman; a brother, Edward Robert (Michele) Liggett; grandchildren, Cathryn Rose, Spencer Snyder and Samantha Snyder; mother-in-law; Shirley Snyder; brothers-in-law: Mark (Dawn) Snyder, and Brian (Kelly) Snyder, sisters-in-law: Barbara (Russ) Ossman, Janet Davia, Robin (John) Miles, Sarah Snyder, Abbie (Scott) English, Ruth (Dave) Wickliff, Patty (Scott) Birney, and Kathy (Keith) Kimble, and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, June 28, 2024, from 1-3 and 4-6 at Clark-Kirkland-Barr Funeral Home, Cadiz, where funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 29, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. with Dean Blythe officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Hopedale, Ohio.
