Celeste Vaughn

Celeste M. James Vaughn (Claudia's Mom), 84, of Cadiz, died Friday, August 15, 2003 at Weirton Medical Center, Weirton, WV. She was born June 9, 1919 in Adena, Ohio, a daughter of the late William and Desi Reynolds McKinney. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Edward James; 3 sons, Charles ''Jess'' James, Hobart Arthur James and David Randall James; 4 brothers, Clarence, Art, Alvin and Kenneth McKinney; and 4 sisters, Cleoda Bennett, Cora Mull, Martha McKinney and Camella Cutshall. Surviving are 5 sons, William Gilbert James of Canton, MI, Henry ''Hank James of Lincoln Park, MI, Larry Roger James of Inkster MI, Harold ''Bud James of Romulus, MI and Edward Dean James of Wooster, OH; 2 daughters, Mrs. Walter (Diane) Schaffer of Wayne, MI and Mrs. David (Claudia Ann) Downs of Cadiz, OH; 36 grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Friends may call Saturday, 7-9 and Sunday, 2-4 and 7-9 at Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home, Cadiz, where Funeral Services will be held Monday at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Cadiz Union Cemetery.
