Cathryn Lacross

Cathryn B. Evans LaCross, 85, Carriage Inn of Cadiz, formerly of Parlett, passed into eternity Wednesday, February 28, 2007 at Harrison Community Hospital, Cadiz, Ohio. She was born July 25, 1921 in Parlett, Ohio, the only child of the late Mary Jane Pulliman and raised by her grandparents, George E. and Jane E. Evans. As well as being blessed with a long life and large family, Cathryn had the great fortune of living independently, unitl recent illness prohibited such luxury. It was then she became a resident of Carriage Inn of Cadiz, where many of the employees will surely remember her with fondness. Cathryn was also a long standing member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie #2162 and the Hopedale American Legion Auxiliary. In addition to her mother and grandparents; Cathryn will be met by her husband Raymond LaCross; son Carl LaCross; son-in-law, Cliff Brewer; and beloved dog, Dusty, in heaven. She is survived by 4 daughters: Karen Stupak and her husband Marty of Tiltonsville, Sharon Manbeck and her husband Danny, Darla Brewer, Debbie Grable and her husband Pete all of Cadiz, 2 sons: Roger E. LaCross and his wife Nancy of Stanley, Virginia and George LaCross and his wife Karen of Cadiz; 21 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Calling hours Friday, March 2, 2-4 and 7-9 at Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home, Cadiz, Ohio. Funeral service will be held Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at Scott United Methodist Church, 817 East Market Street, Cadiz, with Pastor Shane Hart officiating.
