Carter L. Davis, 76, of Tippecanoe, Ohio, formerly of Hamilton, Ohio and Appalachia, VA, died Friday at Aultman Hospital, Canton, Ohio. He was born Nov. 19, 1925 in Hamilton, Ohio a son of Ruth Pennington Davis Browning of Hamilton and the late John Hubert Davis. He was an Army Veteran of WW II and a member of the Sandyville FOE, the Red Wing Riders Association; and the NRA. He was retired as a Professional Carpet Installer. He was preceded in death by his father; his first wife, Wilma Campbell Davis; and a son John Davis. Surviving, in addition to his mother, are his wife, Bernice Fowler Davis; 2 sons, Ken Davis and his wife, Debra of St. Petersburg, FL and Timothy Davis of Oxford, OH; a daughter, Laura Plaska and her husband, Robert of Williamsdale, OH; 2 stepsons, Dale Cordia and his wife Becky of Sherrodsville, OH and Robert Sutten and his wife, Terri of Hamilton, OH; a sister, Betty Simpson of Hamilton, OH; 9 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; 5 step grandchildren; 7 step great grandchildren. Friends may call at the family's residence at 31250 Weavers Run Rd., Tippecanoe, OH on Thursday from 6-8 p.m. and at 316 N. 2nd St., Hamilton, OH on Saturday from 1-3 p.m.
