Carolyn Cope

Carolyn Marie Cope, 75, of Cadiz, died Saturday morning at her home. She was born September 9, 1929 in Adena, Ohio, a daughter of the late Matthew and Almira Thompson Utter. She was a member of Scott United Methodist Church, its Christian Life Sunday School Class and Lisle Jones Circle and the former United Methodist Women, a former 4-H and Girl Scout Leader, a former Volunteer at the Clark Gable Museum and Harrison Community Hospital, and was a member and past Worthy Matron of the Unionport Chapter 360, Order of the Eastern Star. She was a retired computer operator at the Cadiz Parts Warehouse. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Carroll Clyde Cope in 1991; two brothers, Fred and Carl Utter; and three sisters, Dorothy Phillips, Edna Hanville and Grace Babb. Surviving are a son, Alan Cope (Dawn Horn), a daughter, Cathy (Dale) Rose; two granddaughters, Carrie and Cassie Rose, all of Cadiz, and four great grandchildren, Kylee, Matthew, Juliana and Chase. Friends may call Monday from 4-9 p.m. at Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home, Cadiz. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, March 22, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at Scott United Methodist Church, Cadiz, with Rev. Richard Hasley officiating. Burial will follow at Cadiz Union Cemetery. Eastern Star Services will be held at 6:30 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home. Memorial Contributions may be made to Scott United Methodist Church, Unionport Chapter 360, Order of the Eastern Star, or the charity of the donor's choice.
