Carol Powell

Carol A. Powell, 68, Cadiz, died Monday, July 30, 2012 at Trinity East, Steubenville, Ohio. She was born February 23, 1944 in Meadville, Pennsylvania a daughter of the late Eugene Grimm and Evelyn Miller Smith. She was a retired cook and waitress. She was preceded in death in addition to her parents, by her husband Edwin M. Powell in 2002; and a grandson Alex. She is survived by 2 sons: James Sharp of Morgan City, LA and William Sharp of Conneaut, Ohio; 2 daughters: Christine Fielden of Dalton, Ohio and Joyce Petit of Lodi, Ohio; 2 stepsons: Robert and Richard Powell both of New Cumberland, WV; 1 stepdaughter: Susan Sovinsky of Wheeling; 16 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; her stepfather, Kenneth M. Smith of Conneaut; a brother Ed Bowen of Augsburgh, Germany; and a sister, Cindy (David) VanCuren of Goshen, Indiana. Calling hours will be held Wednesday, August 1 from 4-7 at Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home, Cadiz where funeral service will be held Thursday at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Pete Tuchek officiating.
