Carol Jean Ossman, 57, of Jewett, Ohio died Wednesday, June 10, 2009 at her home. She was born April 29, 1952 in Steubenville, Ohio a daughter of the late Dormal (Red) and Ruby Mae Snyder Boyer. Carol was a member of the First Apostolic Church of Cadiz, where she was a Sunday School Teacher and Youth Leader. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren; gardening and traveling all over the world. Surviving are her husband Douglas J. Ossman, 2 sons: Staff Sergeant Dustin Ossman, of Langley AFB, VA and Jason (Sarah) Ossman of St. Clairsville, Ohio; two daughters, Christy (Lt. Commander Chris) Dickerson of Silverdale, WA and Debbie (Ronald) Devore, Jr. of Mingo Jct., Ohio; three grandchildren: Christin, Christian, and Christopher; 7 brothers: Terry (Pauline) Boyer of Kilgore, Ron (Rhonda) Boyer of Uhrichsville, David (Gina) Boyer of New Philadelphia, Daniel Boyer of Philo, Donald (Lisa) Boyer of Hopedale, Tim (Jen) Boyer of New Philadelphia, and John (Jen) Boyer of Jewett; 3 sisters: Charlene (Ron) Jenkins of Unionvale, Donna (Ellis) Fulton of Cadiz, and Mary (Joe) Bizzarri of Mingo Jct.; several aunts and uncles; mother-in-law, Frances Ossman of Cadiz; and best friends, Edward and Diane Overstreet of FL. Friends may call Sunday, 1-4 and 6-8 at Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home, Cadiz, Ohio. Funeral services will be held Monday, June 15, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Apostolic Church, 158 North Ohio Street, Cadiz, with Rev. Ray Ellenbaugh and Rev. Harold Hoffman officiating.
