Bonnie J. Whitehead

Bonnie J. Whitehead, 73, of Cadiz, passed away on Saturday, July 29, 2023 at Trinity Medical

Center West in Steubenville, Ohio. She was born June 13, 1950 in Wheeling, West Virginia a

 daughter of the late Henry “Hank” and Ruth Fuller Straub.

Bonnie was a 1988 graduate of Jefferson Technical College in Steubenville with a mechanical

engineering degree and worked as an engineer for over 20 years. She then ran the family business,

The Meadowlark Inn until it closed because of Covid. She then retired and enjoyed her friends and

family.

She was a loving mother and grandmother. She touched the lives of so many people and would try

to help anyone in any way she could. She will be greatly missed by many.

Kid Rock was the lover of her life!

In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by her brother, Henry Straub; her soulmate,

Dick Barnhart; and her beloved dog, Cocoa.

Surviving are Lynn (Henry Craig) Spano of Cadiz; granddaughters: Ashley Allan of Wintersville

and Caliegh Spano of Cadiz; great granddaughter, Ember Jean Livengood; her former son-in-law

she considered a son, Chad Spano of Cadiz and grandson, Tyler Spano.

There will be a memorial service dinner at the Hopedale American Legion on Friday, August 4, 2023 at 6:00 p.m.
