Betty L. Tyler, 74, of Cadiz, died Friday, March 21, 2008 at Mercy Medical Center, Canton. She was born August 9, 1933 in Cadiz, a daughter of the late Ronald and Mary Wallace Banks. Mrs. Tyler was a retired School Librarian for Harrison Hills City School District. She was a active member of St. James AME Church in Cadiz, where she sang in the Gospel Expressions and Senior Choirs; was a Steward; a Trustee; a member of the Zella Strother Missionary Society and the Stewardess Board # 1. She was also a former member of the Puskarich Public Library Board of Trustees. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Franklin O. ''Doc'' Tyler in 2005; and by a sister, Cheryl Wilson. Surviving are a son, Franklin Tyler, Jr. (Tonya Jones) of Massillon; three daughters, Robin and Jodie Tyler, both of Canton, and Lisa Tyler of Cadiz; seven grandchildren; five great grandchildren; a sister, Roberta (Edward) Ramsey of Mingo Jct., Ohio; a brother Ronald Banks of Bloomingdale, Ohio; a special sister-in-law, Irene Gardner of Pittsburgh; and her adopted children, Terrel Lee, Kelly Banks, and Viva Jackson. Friends may call Tuesday, 7-9 p.m. at Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home, Cadiz. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, March 26, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at St. James AME Church with Rev.
