Betty Sproull

Betty C. Sproull, 74, of Cadiz, died Wednesday, March 24, 2011 at Trinity Medical Center, West in Steubenville. She was born July 24, 1936 in Cadiz, a daughter of the late Raymond Schaeffer and the late Nira Thompson Schaeffer Chittenden. Betty was a retired LPN from the Carriage Inn of Cadiz and an avid Bingo Player. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her step-father, Ralph Chittenden; two sons, Raymond and Daniel Sproull; and two granddaughters. Surviving are her husband, Charles A. Sproull; three sons, Ed (Olivia) Sproull and Ralph (Pia) Sproull, all of Hopedale and Francis (Janice) Sproull of Scio; three daughters, Debbie Keiser of Springhill, FL, Nira (Larry) Kelly of Delaplane, VA and Elva (Bob) Fray of Amsterdam; 15 grandchildren; 31great grandchildren; three brothers, Ralph, Robert and James Chittenden, all of Cadiz; and six sisters, Ruth Harding, Nira Richards, Judy Jock, Linda Gordon and Sandy Carter, all of Cadiz, and Bonnie McAffee of Jewett. Friends may call Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home, Cadiz, where services will be held Monday at 2:00 p.m. with Dean Blythe officiating.
