Barbara Maxwell

Barbara Ann Butcher Maxwell, 58, of Cadiz, died Thursday, October 21, 2010 at Acuity Specialty Hospital in Steubenville after a lengthy illness. She was born May 28, 1952, a daughter of the late Woodrow Wilson and Eileen Sangmeister Butcher. Barbara was a Correction Officer in New Philadelphia, and a member of the First Church of Christ in Cadiz. She attended school in Cadiz and Scio and graduated from Fostoria High School. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Donald L. Butcher. Surviving are her husband, Ronald Maxwell; a son Shawn (Dawn) Butcher of Jacksonville, NC; three grandchildren: Julie, Nettie and Wyatt; two brothers, Ronald W. Butcher of Zanesville and Dennis J. Butcher of Chicago; and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m. at the First Church of Christ, 139 N. Main St., Cadiz, Ohio.
