Audrey Ferris

Audrey A. Ferris, 93, of Massillon, Ohio, formerly of Cadiz, Ohio, died Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at Amherst Meadows in Massillon, surrounded by her family. She was born September 9, 1920 in Unionvale, Ohio, a daughter of the late Harvey and Jessie Bell Waller. Mrs. Ferris was a retired Teachers Aid and Secretary from Westgate Elementary School in Cadiz. She was a member of Scott United Methodist Church, the Harrison County Retired Teachers' Association and the AARP. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, J. Arthur (Jim) Ferris in 1992; three brothers, Raymond, Lawrence and Francis Waller; a sister Elizabeth Renicker; a grandson, Chris Busby; two half-brothers, Warren Waller and Herman Waller Thompson; and a half-sister, Mary Ellen Wilson. Surviving are her daughter, Judy (Gary) Busby of Massillon; two grandchildren, Tim (Kathleen) Busby of FL and Sarah (Charles) Krell of Massillon; a granddaughter-in-law, Lisa Busby of Ashland, OH; six grandchildren; and two sisters, Betty Smith of Cadiz and Flora (David) Lukens of Lancaster, OH. Friends may call Monday from 11:00 a.m. until time of services at 1:00 p.m. at Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home, Cadiz. Rev. Richard Hasley will officiate.
