Atlee O. ''Jack'' Nation, 77, of Cadiz, died Thursday, March 31, 2005 at Harrison Community Hospital, Cadiz. He was born September 17, 1927 in Hopedale, Ohio, a son of the late Edgar Ray and Viola Kelley Nation. He was a retired Maintenance Supervisor for Consolidation Coal Co. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Cadiz, and attended the Feed Springs Church near Deersville. An Army Veteran of WW II, he was a past Commander of the Cadiz American Legion Post 34, and was a member of the National Rifle Association. Jack was very involved with the Masonic Order having memberships and leadership positions in Masonic bodies worldwide. He was a member and Past Master of Harrison Lodge 219 F. & A.M., Member of the Past Master's Assoc.; Past Worthy Patron of Harrison Chapter 353, OES; Past High Priest in Royal Arch Mason Chapter 171; Past Illustrious Master of Gebal Council 56, R member of Weirton Commandery and Steubenville Commandery 11 KT; past commander of St. Bernard Commandry: member of AASR, Valley of Steubenville, and an Honorary Member of the Supreme Council, NMJ; Past Thrice Potent Master of Carson Lodge, Commander in Chief of Jefferson Consistory; past Sovereign Prince and Past Most Wise Master of the Valley of Steubenville , MSA; member of Alladin Shrine; and honorary member of Osiris Shrine, Wheeling; member of the Royal Order of Scotland; member of Philalethes Society; Member of Clarence E. O'Neal Council 53, AMD; Council of Auoiuted Kings, Holy Order of High Priesthood; Governor, 10th District of Demolay; member of Quatuor Coronati Lodge 076 in London, England; President of Harrison Lodge Temple Corp. For 17 years; member of Shannon Council 28, Knight Masons of Ireland; Past President of Scottish Rite Club; past Governor of Ft Steuben College 194; Puissant Sovereign of Mountain State Conclave, Red Cross of Constantine, Wheeling, WV; member Holyrood Conclave, Red Cross of Constantine; Knight York Cross of Honour; past Sovereign Master of Earl O. Greenawalt 292 AMD; and Chancellor of Ft. Henry College 61, York Rite Sovereign College of North America In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepson, Cassius Nation in 2003. Surviving are his wife, Rosalee Stubbs Nation; a sister, Agnes McGill of Jefferson, Ohio; two grandchildren, Arlene Nation of Indiana and Clay Nation of New Philadelphia, OH. Friends may call Sunday from 7-9 p.m. at the Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home, Cadiz. A Masonic Service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Sunday. Funeral Services will be held Monday at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Milo Baker officiating. Burial will follow at Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
