Arthur W. Hennis, Sr., 50, Jewett died Tuesday, January 17, 2012 at Trinity Medical Center West in Steubenville, Ohio. He was born March 6, 1961 in Dennison, Ohio. Art was a lifelong Jewett area man and he loved to farm and raise cattle. He enjoyed his grandchildren above all else. Art loved to tractor pull with his son Art, Jr. for a little over the past 10 years and was a member of the Harrison County Antique Tractor Club. He was a former truck driver going by the name of Farmhand. He is currently employed at Hopedale Mining and drove end dump , he did enjoy his job and all the guys he worked with at the mine. Art never met an enemy and he was always the first guy there if you needed a hand. Art married Dolly Booth Hennis on July 11, 1981 and they were married for over 30 years. They have two boys: Art Hennis, Jr. of Jewett and Scott Allen Hennis of Newcomerstown area; along with three grandchildren: Brittany, Sydney, and Dalton all of Newcomerstown area. Calling hours will be held Friday, January 20 from 4-8 at Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home, Cadiz where funeral service will be held Saturday at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. David Lee officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Gardens Cemetery, Jewett, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society. The memorial guestbook may be signed at www.clark-kirkland.com.
