Arden Evans

Arden L. Evans, 64, Cadiz, died Sunday, March 16, at his home after a long illness. He was born February 17, 1939 in Bays, West Virginia a son of the late Ezra Evans and Nellie Stalnaker Evans. Arden was a lifelong coal miner and foreman for Consolidation Coal Company and was with the U.S. Army Reserve. He is survived by his wife Joyce Dometrovich Evans; a daughter Rhonda Evans Case and her husband Reed Case of Austin, Texas; 5 sisters: Mrs. William (Mildred) Fisher of Mannington, West Virginia, Mrs. Donald (Toots) Ashcraft and Mrs. Larry (Wanda) Dickerson both of Cadiz, Mrs. Gene (Dale) Stire of Shinnston, West Virginia, and Mrs. Eddy (Molly) Sandy of Enterprise, West Virginia; 2 brothers: Noel Evans and William E. Evans both of Cadiz. Calling hours are Friday, March 21 from 1:00 p.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m. at the Presbyterian Church of Cadiz with Rev. William Hudson officiating. Burial follows at Cadiz Union Cemetery with military graveside honors by the Cadiz American Legion. Memorial contributions may be made to the Teramana Cancer Center, 3204 Johnson Road, Steubenville, Ohio 43952.
