Anna Miner

Anna B. Miner, 90, of Cadiz, died Sunday, June 19, 2011 at Harrison Community Hospital, Cadiz. She was born April 22, 1921 in Akron, Ohio, a daughter of the late Charles A. and Sina Graff Bihlman. Mrs. Miner was born and raised in Akron and graduated from Cadiz High School in 1939. She worked first as a Legal Secretary in Cadiz and for many years was the Secretary in the Engineering Department at Hanna Coal Company's offices in Georgetown. She was also a sales representative for Avon for thirty seven years and was a sales representative for World Book Encyclopedia. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Cadiz, where she was active in the Women's Association and the Women's Circle, and a member of the Cadiz Business and Professional Women's Club. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of fifty eight years, William J. Miner in 2004; a sister, Harriet Stevens Lee; and two brothers, Richard and Charles Bihlman, and by an infant brother. Surviving are two daughters, Anna (James) O'Neil and Marilyn (Terrance) Hyde, all of Cadiz; three grandchildren, John O'Neil, William (Courtney) Hyde and Dianna Hyde (fianc, Joshua Albright); and a great granddaughter, Averee Jayne Hyde. Friends may call Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. at Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home, Cadiz. Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 23, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at the Presbyterian Church of Cadiz, 154 West Market St., Cadiz with Rev. R.J. Leek officiating.
