Alan Leland Cumberworth, 78, of Cadiz, died Friday at Lakeland Regional Hospital in Lakeland, FL. He was born December 21, 1932 in Cleveland, OH, a son of the late Leland and Katherine Schuur Cumberworth. Al was a retired executive with Bostwick-Braun Hardware and George Worthington Hardware. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Cadiz and was an avid camper. He was active with the former International Mining and Mfg. Festival and enjoyed square dancing, playing bocce ball and walking at Sally Buffalo Park in Cadiz and Rainbow Resort in FL. He sang in Barbershop Quartets in the Ohio Valley. Surviving are his wife, Marilyn (Becky) Blower Cumberworth, whom he married on May 29, 1954; two sons, Craig (Kathy) Cumberworth of Warren, OH and Brian (Holly) Cumberworth of Jewett, OH; and three grandchildren, Eric, Jennifer and Nate Cumberworth. Friends may call Thursday, 6-8 p.m. at Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home, Cadiz, where funeral services will be held Friday, April 15, 2011 at 11:00 a.m.with Rev. Rodney Bowers Smith officiating.
