Adam Kokovich, 79, of Cadiz, died Tuesday, April 17, 2007 at East Ohio Regional Hospital. He was born in Adena, Ohio on March 20, 1928 a son of the late Charles and Josephine Kokovich. Adam was a employee of Consolidated Coal Company and owner and operator of the Starlite Inn and Kenwood Tavern for 40 years. A member of the American Legion Post #34 of Cadiz and a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in the 82nd Airborn Division. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers: Charles, Julius, John, Tony, and Steve; and 4 sisters: Mary, Helen, Anna, and Dorothy. Surviving are his wife of 54 years, Helen Brkich Kokovich; a son Danny and his wife, Paige Kokovich of Ostrander, Ohio; three grandchildren: Alex, Logan, and Hannah; a sister, Rose Clark of Canton, Ohio; and a brother, James Kokovich of Martins Ferry, Ohio; several nieces and nephews.. Friends may call Thursday, 1-8 at Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home, Cadiz, where funeral services will be held Friday, April 20, at 11:00 a.m., with Pastor Donald Perks officiating.
